IT'S TIME FOR ANOTHER GIVEAWAY!
Today is the official call for numbers. Although normally the totals for the week would only be 700 words, since it's been a little over a week we're now at 900 words.
***EVERYONE WHO LEAVES THEIR WORD TOTALS (ESTIMATES OKAY) IN THE COMMENTS WILL BE ENTERED INTO A DRAWING FOR A SIGNED COPY OF CJ HILL'S (AKA JANETTE RALLISON) SLAYERS***
You have until 11:59 pm Pacific Daylight Time on Tuesday to post your numbers. Winner will be announced on FB on Thursday (this week only-- I'll be temporarily without a computer) but be sure to check back here too for inspiration in our weekly post on writing. This week's post will be written by the wonderful author herself, Janette Rallison.
HAPPY WRITING. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
My goal was 15,000 words for the week and I ended up just barely passing that with 15,568. It's amazing when you start with the plan of making sure you get 100 words in each day how much can flow from there!
ReplyDeleteIn the first week of the challenge I wrote 1877 words on my steampunk novel, and 1892 words on my blog and other projects, so 3769 words total.
ReplyDeleteHola. Mine came in at 4580. I had to erase a lot of them. Sad. But they were "process writing." Let's call it that.
ReplyDeleteMy count came to 2043 words added to my manuscript.
ReplyDeleteI logged 6,213 words this week. Wahoo!
ReplyDeleteMy word count for the week is 7,100. My mini-retreat at my aunt's cabin made my word count happen. Amazing how much I can get done without distractions. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, my puny 1730 words can't compete with the uberproducers, but I wasn't able to write every day due to day trips. I didn't count blogs and such, although I wrote several of them. I was called on to do other things, which ate up a lot of time, too. I know, lots of excuses, but I'm getting closer to the end.
ReplyDeleteMy word count added up to right about 2150 words. My goal is to beat that this week. thank you for this challenge!
ReplyDeleteI'm in this to make everyone else look really awesome. :) My word count is about 925. I'm editing so I cut, then add, cut, then add. It's all good!
ReplyDeleteI thought I was supposed to report on facebook, but I'll do this again--2434--letters, journal, writing exercise and an essay on essays.
ReplyDeleteI exceeded my expectations with 3,133 words this week! I'm happy happy happy! Yes, I'd be happier with 15K, but we do what we can do, right?
ReplyDeleteMy weekly total was 3,710. On Sundays I worked on my personal history and the other days I worked on my current WIP. This is more than I've written in a long time. :)
ReplyDelete2000 + words since last Monday. Love this challenge!
ReplyDeleteI'm one of those who had a bunch of revision going on, which rearranged and cut a lot of words, but I did end up with a positive number of 1,003 words, so I'm still ahead! This week should see a lot more actual drafting instead of revising = more words!
ReplyDeleteRemember that goal I had of 500 words a day? Um, I've made a revision. I guess100 words a day is just about perfect for me right now. 1366 for this week. But it was all good stuff.
ReplyDelete800 words and a bunch of revisions!
ReplyDeleteDoes it count if I'm editing and replacing sentences with better ones? haha! The section I just edited is 2,641, and I feel like I rewrote half of it! But I have no way of knowing exactly what my numbers are. I'd say a solid 1,200 considering I deleted a substantial part of the scene and rewrote it. Who cares! I'M WRITING! :D
ReplyDelete1329 for the week! Two articles and some notes. Yippee!!
ReplyDeleteRight around 1800 for the week! Hurray for this challenge!
ReplyDeleteI wrote just over 1200 words this week. Thanks for the challenge! It really helped keep me going :-)
ReplyDeleteI squeaked in 988 words! More that I wrote the first five months combined!
