A blank page.
A cursor blinking on a screen.
No idea what's next …(maybe no idea what’s first, either.)
Just listen.
A thought will come. Get it down.
Then another, and another.
Before you know it, you're into the story, and the inspiration is flowing.

Did you know
that’s good for the noodle to doodle? It’s true. Doodling unblocks short and
long term memory and it opens up linguistic avenues by concentrating on visual
ones. At least that’s what the article I read suggested.
So the next time
you're at church and you start drawing dragons on your program, you’re not
wasting time, you’re channeling the creative spirit.

A MORE
PRODUCTIVE TOMORROW, TODAY
This one’s for
my list makers. Consider making a short to do list before you go to bed. That

Disclaimer: I love this idea
but with my kids and dog … and personality it would never work.
