We need to get on board with his plan for our lives and stop telling ourselves we're not ______ (fill in the blank) enough. Like: smart enough, talented enough, experienced enough, thin enough, creative enough. Or that we don't "have" enough ______ time, energy, money ... etc.
We need to muster up the courage to make the dreams he's given us a reality; not insult him by minimizing his hopes for us. Let's dream big, work hard, love always, and be grateful. Two people can do anything, if one of them is the Lord.

Ready. Set. Go!
DON'T BREAK THE CHAIN
Now you need to set a goal, i.e. “I will write for 30 minutes every day.” Every time you meet the goal or work towards it you put a giant X through that date on the calendar. Pretty soon you’ll have a chain of Xs. That chain of big, red (pink, blue, green, etc) Xs look so good. You wouldn’t want to break that chain, would you? Then there’d be a gap. So you just have to keep working on your goal.
The comedian and TV star, Jerry Seinfeld, developed this super simple motivational idea. All you need is a bright marker and a good sized calendar you can prominently display.
Isn't that beautiful? Look at all those red Xs. |
You can work on two goals at the same time but too many goals and you increase your risk of breaking the chain.
It’s deceptively simple and totally effective. I’ve started it and I LOVE IT!
